SOLAZYME, INC.

Our Company

We make oil. Our proprietary technology transforms a range of low-cost plant-based sugars into high-value oils. Our renewable products can replace or enhance oils derived from the world’s three existing sources—petroleum, plants and animal fats. We tailor the composition of our oils to address specific customer requirements, offering superior performance characteristics at a competitive cost to conventional oils. Our oils can address the major markets served by conventional oils, which represented an opportunity of over $3.1 trillion in 2010. Initially, we are focused on commercializing our products into three target markets: (1) fuels and chemicals, (2) nutrition and (3) skin and personal care.

CERES, INC.

Our Company

We are an agricultural biotechnology company selling seeds to produce renewable biomass feedstocks that can enable the large-scale replacement of petroleum and other fossil fuels. We use a combination of advanced plant breeding and biotechnology to develop new crops, known as dedicated energy crops, that we believe address the limitations of first-generation bioenergy feedstocks, such as corn and sugarcane, increase biomass productivity, reduce crop inputs and improve cultivation on marginal land.

Our first large-scale commercial products are proprietary sweet sorghum varieties that can be used as a “drop-in” feedstock to extend the operating season of Brazilian sugarcane-to-ethanol mills, the operating days of which are currently limited due to the inherent limitations of sugarcane physiology and growth patterns. Our dedicated energy crops can also be used for the production of second-generation biofuels and bio-based chemicals, including cellulosic ethanol, butanol, jet fuel, diesel-like molecules and gasoline-like molecules, from non-food biomass. Finally, baseload utility-scale electric power can also be generated from the biomass feedstocks grown from our seeds.

The seed industry has historically required very little capital to manufacture seeds, and seeds have typically been sold at prices that generate high gross margins. As a producer of proprietary seeds, we believe we are in the most attractive segment of the bioenergy value chain — upstream from the capital intensive refining and conversion of biomass. For example, in 2009 corn seed providers maintained high margins when volatile commodity prices significantly impacted corn ethanol refining margins. Therefore, we believe our success is tied to adoption of our products rather than the relative profitability of downstream participants. Our upstream position in the value chain also allows us to be largely independent of the success of any particular conversion technology or end use.

IBM traded over 170 level and was pulled back under to the 169.40 level. This was a swing of $1.52 in profit on either side of the the trade. Friday is OptionEx and they may just pin IBM at 170.

XOM was a nice play, however overall was a bore if your are in the wrong options or if the Oil and Gas numbers are not scheduled to be release. Today we have both and it allowed XOM to move with market and FED was speaking at 2:00 Eastern Time, so there was a runin of the stocks before hand.

XOM 82.50 tradable option range .27 to .47

GS was InPlay on Friday for a downward rally, however it took a longtime to develop on the other time frames. Rippin both ways to almost close it gap of 2+ point decline.

SLV we called for Silver to experience downward pressure and it took some time to break the cycle of a closing gap left on May 12, 2011. Gap and Faded back to the May 12, 2011 area... Nice call on the May 34 Puts Weeklys.

Monday, May 9, 2011

BIDU trader's have been on a sideways consolidation for a bit and today is no different. Placed a limit order to open on a BIDU 145 Call/Put Straddle. This was due to the market started to tank and then we bounced, which we decided to wait, which was wrong to due for our size.

Will be back in the sit on Wednesday, to see what we can savage from this trade.

InPlay: Weekly Options - Expiration Day

NFLX - 230 Put
In .83 - Out .95
In .67 - Out 1.00
In .25 - Out 1.00

AAPL - 345 Put

As you can see these where, pretty good if you where able to handle the faster time decay.... The markets played so many games it was not even funny, so you have to scalp this market if you can. Also, writing tickets are not fun, due to it cost you money (Brokerage Fees)....

NFLX is in a downward rally mode so far. PCLN will report earnings on May 5, 2011. So will be interesting to see what this will bring to the tech sector....

Monday, May 2, 2011

NFLX put in a nice gap this morning. Sell began just before the 10:30 turnover and it could not break that 239 level be able to run it to the 240 price level... Well see how this continues to play out in the morning and at the end of the week.
